In Asian countries, weather is not always constant. Hence, the weather changes affect the materials used in that environment. In Asian countries, plastic weathering is the most common technique. Most of the time, the weather changes again and again. Sometimes it is raining and the next time the Sun starts shining. Similarly, sometimes you will notice winter and after some time you will feel a little touch of summer. These weather changes distort the material’s durability and hence the plastic materials are affected badly. They may lose their colour, strength, shine and quality. So, it’s important to test the life of plastic products at the time of manufacturing and it is most commonly done by conducting a plastic accelerated weathering test. This test is conducted with a UV Weathering Tester.
This testing instrument comes with a technology of touch screen. Several International standards are compiled with this testing instrument. These standards include ISO 4892-3:2012, ASTM D4329-13, ASTM D4587-11, and ASTM G-151-10. In addition, smart technology is used in this machine for generating real-life weathering conditions like rain, temperature, heat, humidity etc. These conditions are controlled to evaluate the durability of plastic for several years in a few hours.
This testing chamber comes with fluorescent lights, UV lamps, and water spray. The display comes with an HMI HMI-based touchscreen which shows the real-time graph of the test. Also, you can set the parameters of the test along with time duration, test cycles and values with the help of the screen. Also, the test history can be managed by the user and the date is saved as per requirements. The sensor of corrosion-resistant PT-100 for high accuracy of the test is placed in this UV test chamber.
So, for performing plastic weathering tests, this instrument is very beneficial.
